All Hope is Gone

Owing to the death of Paul Gray of Slipknot I have decided to feature a different band as part of Tuesday’s RetroBlog.

The first Slipknot album I listened to was their debut, and while good, I was not really minded to keep up with subsequent releases. So, in light of recent events I decided to give the more recent release, All Hope Is Lost, a listen. I was surprised, in a pleasant way, how much their sound had changed from the first album.
